| This is a 1942 cake top, and one of the cutest I have seen. The bride & groom were made of painted heads mounted on pipe cleaners clothed in period dress. | I cleaned the bride & groom, replaced the apple blossom on top, and added white leaves to complete the bell (which had lost it's original plaster body). I was able to salvage the lily-of-the-valley flowers and the bride's & groom's apparel. I added a satin ribbon over the original pipe-cleaner stand for the bell at the owners request. |
