I restore vintage antique cake tops. Call or e-mail me with the details of your vintage cake topper for an estimate. Some toppers are beyond repair, but I can often revitalize worn parts and replace outworn components with vintage-style new materials. Once details are worked out, there is a $50 deposit to start on your restoration, and the balance before return shipping.

	This classic 1930's vintage cake topper had stains from frosting oils seeping through its crumbling plaster base, showing as a brown discoloration on top. The kewpie-doll brides veil had rotted, as had her paper dress. The leaves were discolored, and the flowers were stained and worn. I was able to salvage the grooms suit and hat as well as the tarnished silver wedding bell. I repaired the plaster base where it had crumbled, painted and sealed the top of the base, and sealed the bottom. I re-wrapped the wire arch with new lily-of-the-valley and replaced the other worn flowers. The dolls faces were cleaned, and the brides attire and ribbons replaced. This antique piece was restored to its original eggshell-white, but any color or color scheme is possible.

Most vintage cake tops take 2-4 hours to restore, and run between $90 to $180 for labor. In most cases, the cost of replacement parts is included at no extra charge.
